Former lawmaker and Nepali Congress leader Jip Chhiring Lama Sherpa has donated Rs 2,655,000 for the families of those killed during the April 25 and May 12 earthquake in Dolakha district. 

The Nepali Congress leader donated Rs 15,000 each to 177 families who lost their kin in the earthquakes from his personal property at a programme in Charikot on Wednesday. He also handed over an ambulance for northern VDC of Khare in the district.

Prior to this, he had also provided assistance for relief and rescue of the earthquake survivors on behalf of his company Lama Construction Pvt. Ltd. 

Speaking at the relief distribution programme, he said the relief was he provided to console the survivors.
