Prime Minister Sushil Koirala’s press advisor Prateek Pradhan resigned from his post on Monday. He tweeted that his resignation is for the ‘continuity to freedom of opinion’.

“I resigned for the ease of Prime Minister,” said Pradhan. He, however, did not clear the reason for his resignation. His article published in a national daily is speculated to be a reason that created pressure on him to resign

According to sources, PM’s social affairs advisor Bijan Panta is also making up his mind to resign from the post.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has accepted the resignation of Pradhan, who was appointed the PM's press advisor on June 5.

The resignation has been approved with effect from Monday, according to a statement issued by the PM's press coordinator Prakash Adhikari.
