A motorcyclist died in Piprahawa Chok of Ganapur on the Nepalgunj-Kohalpur road section in Banke district on Friday when the Banda enforcers pelted stones at him for defying the banda.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Param Singh of Naubasta-2. According to police, Singh, who sustained serious injuries after being hit by stones, succumbed on the way to Kohalpur Hospital.
The pillion rider, named Binod Shahi, was also seriously injured, informed SP Basanta Pant.
Meanwhile, police have arrested two cadres of Madhesi Morcha involved in pelting stones at other bikes.
