Mini truck accident in Chitwan kills two, injures one

The deceased have been identified as Arjun Nepali of Salang-2, Dhading and Ramesh Kumar Shrestha, 35, from Palpa. They died on the way to Bharatpur for treatment, according to the District Police Office Chitwan. Driver Homnath Nepali, 29, of Salang, Dhading is undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College in critical condition. Deceased Arjun is Homnath's younger brother, the police said.
Drunk-driving is said to the reason behind the accident. The ill-fated mini truck with the registration number plate Ga 1 Kha 4403 was carrying tomatoes and fell some 80-90 meters down from the road near the Nagdi River, the Chitwan Police said.
