Organising a press meet in Dharan of Sunsari on Thursday, Pabitra’s father Mahendra and mother Sita said that they had sent Pabitra to a house of one Srijana Adhikari in Chabahil in Kathmandu to work as a domestic help 11 years ago.

They said that they had to send their daughter to other’s house to work as they have a hard time supporting their seven-member family as daily wage labourers. Pabitra’s parents said Sirjana’s family informed them about their missing daughter only two months later, which has raised suspicions of foul play.  Seeking help to trace whereabouts of Pabitra and demanding that guilty be punished, they have lodged a complaint at the Women and Children Service Center of Metropolitan Police Circle in Kathmandu and Metropolitan Police Circle in Gausala.
