Police on Thursday arrested a man from Lakeside in Pokhara for possessing an automatic pistol.
Sarangkot local Nar Bahadur BK was taken into police custody in connection with the case. The weapon and a round of bullets were recovered from an under-construction house in Banskot of Lakeside, said Superintendent of Police Mohan Kumar Thapa.
According to the police, the 39-year-old is a repeat offender, previously being booked for 13 different offences, including theft, burglary and narcotics.
A case has been filed at the Kaski district court against BK under the arms and ammunition act, police said.
