Court remands two in police custody
The District Court in Bara remanded two Indian nationals accused of murdering a man two months ago in police custody on Friday.

Mohammad Fahad of Lucknow and Rajesh Mishra of Varanasi in India, charged with the murder of Aftaf Alam Ansari, 40, owner of a petrol pump at Rampur along the Birgunj-Pathalaiya road, were arrested with two revolvers and 22 round of bullets two months ago.
The duo had shot Ansari while he was sitting on a chair in front of his house at Jitpur, Bhawanipur VDC in the district.
The then assistant sub inspector Matrika Thakur and constable Shek Sabjan had bravely fought the the two assailants and arrested them.
Both officers were injured when the shooters, while fleeing the scene after gunning down Ansari, open fired at them.
Thakur had sustained bullet injuries in the abdomen and left hand. Sabjan, too, was shot in his left hand.
The two perpetrators had open fired at the police personnel during the pursuit on a motorcycle.
According to sources, the shooters were found to be linked with the murder of CPN-UML election candidate Mohammad Alam five months ago and general secretary of Nepal Islamic Association, Faijal Ahmad more than two years ago.
