Gogoro, the global leader in battery-swapping technology for two-wheel electric vehicles, has activated 45 fully operational battery swap stations across Kathmandu Valley.
Fulfilling its commitment, Gogoro prioritised building a strong network infrastructure before entering retail sales. Strategically placed every 2–3 kilometres, Gogoro’s 45 swap stations ensure seamless access to fully charged batteries, eliminating the wait time for charging.

The swap stations have an inbuilt UPS system powered by the Gogoro battery that can keep it running for up to seven days in case of a power disruption to ensure a seamless customer experience.
The smart swap stations are powered by predictive AI to optimise battery health and availability based on user demand forecasting.
Currently, the stations are in petrol pumps, marts, and other strategic locations to ensure easy accessibility for all Gogoro customers.
As of today, there are more than 100 swaps per day in Kathmandu.
“We are proud to deliver on our commitment to Nepal’s EV ecosystem. These 45 swap stations mark just the beginning of our vision to create a smarter, more sustainable mobility solution,” said Manoj Goyal, chairman of Nebula Energy.
