The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 58.05 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,582.73 points, a decrease of 2.19 percent. This marks a decline after the NEPSE saw a rise of 26.10 points in the previous trading session.

A total of 240 companies saw a decrease in their stock values, while only four companies experienced an increase. The total trading volume reached Rs5.18 billion, with 11,155,955 shares being traded across 62,021 transactions.

All sub-groups on the NEPSE index saw losses today. The life insurance, non-life insurance, development banks, and hotel and tourism sectors saw the largest declines.

Investors in certain debentures saw some positive movement, including a 9.5 percent increase in the NCC Debenture 2086, an 11 percent rise in the KBL Debenture 2089, and a 9.5 percent gain in the Manjushree Finance Limited Debenture 2085.
