In a ceremony organised to celebrate the 14th annual NRN day, Upendra Mahato, chairman of the hospital and first president of the NRN Association (NRNA), handed over the package to Jiba Lamichhane, former president of the NRNA.
The annual healthcare package named ‘Abhibhavak Prati Samarpan’ will provide healthcare, lifestyle counseling, standard laboratory tests and basic physiotherapy services round the clock to elderly parents of NRNs who are residing in Nepal on a quarterly basis. The package priced at $950 also provides a service where doctors from Nepal Mediciti will visit patients at their residences to take stock of their health. “We have introduced the service so that our NRN friends residing abroad do not have to worry about the health of their parents,” said Sudhakar Jayaram, CEO of the hospital.
Nepal Mediciti is the first hospital established to cater healthcare services not only to domestic patients but also to foreigners to promote medical tourism in the country. “As we are guaranteeing world class healthcare service at home, none of our citizen from now onwards will have to go aboard to seek medical service by paying high charges,” said Mahato.
