NMB Bank and members of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) is hosting the 9th GABV annual meeting in Nepal from March 7-9 (Tuesday to Thursday). The GABV is a network of banking leaders from around the world committed to advancing positive change in the banking sector.

The theme of the meeting is ‘Shifting the Financial Paradigm–Courage to Act Together’. The meeting is expected to be attended by CEOs and senior executives of 40 banks and financial institutions operating in Asia, Africa, Australia, Latin America, North America and Europe. The meeting will also be attended by ministers, central bank governor, deputy governors, chairmen of banks and financial institutions, bureaucrats and other key stakeholders.

“The GABV’s collective goal is to change the banking system so that it is more transparent, supports economic, social and environmental sustainability, and is composed of a diverse range of banking institutions serving the real economy,” says a statement issued by the NMB Bank. The meeting will also focus on strengthening local communities and supporting local entrepreneurs.
