Due to the month-long strike in the Tarai belt, people’s right to live in a peaceful environment has been violated, besides a huge impact on the economy.
The FNCCI has drawn the attention of the concerned towards the losses the Tarai unrest has caused to the economy. It also raised concerns about the strike’s impact on tourism and negative message conveyed to the international markets, farmers not being able to sell their produce and shortage of essential goods.
It has demanded the government ensure security to industrial enterprises and create conducive business environment.
