The Nepal Ambulance Service has expanded its service with an addition of experienced health workers in  Chitwan and Pokhara.

So far the NAS has been providing ambulance services in Kathmandu Valley. The NAS claimed in a statement that it provides international standard emergency health services in Kathmandu Valley, Chitwan and Pokhara with a fleet of 11 fully equipped ambulances. The NAS provides 24-hour emergency ambulance service in the areas. The need can call at 102. The organisation claims to be providing emergency services at the minimal cost set by the government. 

The non-profit initiative dedicated to the establishment of an emergency medical response system aims to provide rapid ambulance transport to hospitals along with life-saving medical care for the sick and injured people regardless of their ability 

to pay, according to the statement.
