He, however, stressed the withdrawal of charges filed against many people, arguing that they all may not be guilty.
Eight people, mostly police personnel and a two-year-old boy were killed in the incident on August 24, 2015.
Gachchhadar was speaking at a press conference in Kailali.
"After the incident, the state has taken action against many innocent Tharu people. Many Tharus have been displaced while property destroyed," he said, demanding that innocent Tharu people should be given justice.
Touching on the disputed issue of demarcation of provincial boundaries, he suggested for adopting eight provinces, instead of existing seven provinces, to resolve the disputes surrounding the demarcation.
On the impeachment motion filed at Parliament against Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Lokman Singh Karki, he refused to comment on it, saying other big political parties took ahead the issue without consulting his party. RSS
