The QS University Rankings: Asia 2016 has released its results of 350 top universities in Asia for this year.
The universities were rated according to academic reputation (30%), employer reputation (20%), faculty/student ratio (15%), citations per paper (10%) and papers per faculty (10%); staff with a PhD (5%), proportion of international faculty (2.5%) and proportion of international students (2.5%); proportion of inbound exchange students (2.5%) and proportion of outbound exchange students (2.5%).
Northeast Asia took more than half of the list with China, (82 universities) leading followed by Japan (74) and South Korea (54). But the top ranked university came from Southeast Asia: the National University of Singapore.
