Post scribe Bhattarai up for journalism award

The award which carries a purse of Rs 10,000 will be handed over amid a ceremony on the club’s 18th anniversary next week.
Bhattarai, who has around a decade-long experience in mainstream journalism, is with the political desk of the Post. Similarly, The club has also announced to honour Om Sharma, former general secretary of Federation of Nepali Journalists, with “Krishnasen Ichhuk Memorial Journalism Award”.
According to the club, the award established in memory of revolutionary journalist and progressive littérateur late Krishna Sen Icchuk carries a purse of Rs 25,000.
Likewise, Ram Kumar Kamat, executive political bureau chief of the Himalayan Times, has been named the recipient for “Birendra Shah Memorial Journalism Award” and Khagendra Khatri for “Best Youth Journalism Award”.
