Medical students took out a rally at New Baneshwor in the Capital on Wednesday in support of agitating Dr Govind KC who is sitting on a hunger strike for the sixth time demanding reforms in the medical education sector and implementating of the Mathema committe report.

Students, medical doctors and general public expressing their solidarity resorted to street protest after the government turned deaf ears to the demands, 10 days since Dr KC started his fast-unto-death strike.

The participants in the rally chanted slogans holding placards in support of the agitating doctor and demanded the government implement the report prepared by the Mathema committee.
