According to eKantipur Baglung correspondent Prakash Baral, transportation services, shops and educational institutions have remained shut due to the banda called by district political parties and Baglung chapter of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. As per the new state demarcation, Baglung bazaar will be a part of state no 4 and Dhorpatan and Burtibang will be included in state no 5. The protestors have said that Baglung district holds no significance without Dhorpatan.

Meanwhile, general public in Nawalparasi district have welcomed the special committee’s decision to divide the district among two states. The locals since long time had been demanding the district, formed by conjoining Nawalpur and Parasi, be divided.  As per the new proposed state delineation Daunne will be a part of Nawalpur in state no 4 and Parasi a part of state no 5.
