Hinting towards India in a press meet organised at party office in Itahari on Tuesday, leader Gajurel said, “Our southern neighbour is the one master of all.”
Leader Gajurel said that the new constitution being drafted according to the pact, signed under the guidance of India, will be weaker than the interim constitution. He warned that the nation will plunge into another civil war because of the major four parties—Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum- Loktantrik.
The CPN-Maoist Vice Chairman remarked that the bill tabled at the parliament by the four parties to grant privileges to former senior government officials as fascist practice. “This demonstrates that the leadership of four parties is more fascist than the Panchayat era,” said Gajurel. He said that the people should intensify protest against such practices.
“Now is the time to provide shelter for the earthquake victims rather than granting privileges to the former senior officials,” he said.
