Drafting Committee officially beings work
Constitution Drafting Committee Chairman Krishna Prasad Sitaula has informed that the committee has commenced its task of drafting the new constitution.

Speaking at the committee meeting held on Sunday, Sitaula said that the committee has officially begun the work to prepare the draft of the new constitution.

A meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA), on Friday, had given 15 days to prepare and submit a draft of new constitution to the Drafting Committee.
A doorway to promulgate the new constitution opened after major four parties agreed on the disputed issues of the constitution forging a 16-poing pact. The CA gave the task of preparing a draft of the new constitution to the Drafting Committee after the Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee of the CA submitted a report on the agreement.
There are five sub-committees and one task force under the Drafting Committee.
