The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development on Thursday appointed Tamang to the post that was lying vacant for the past three days after Purna Bhakta Tandukar was terminated from the position citing his failure to assume his responsibilities effectively during the time of national crisis following the Great Earthquake.

Tamang was working under the Ministry of Commerce and Supply Management. He was a journalist before joining the civil service.

Likewise, the Cabinet meeting today appointed Suga Ratna Kansakar to the post of General Manager at Nepal Airlines Corporation. Also, Sanjeev Gautam has been appointed as General Manager of Civil Aviation Authority.

The government on Thursday appointed Dilip Raj Regmi as the Chief of National Investigation Department (NID).

A Cabinet meeting convened at Prime Minister’s Official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday took the decision to this effect.

Likewise, the government has appointed Ganesh Prasad Adhikari as the Additional Director General of NID.
