Meteorologist Shanti Kadel at the Meteorological Forecasting Division said that the rain-bearing clouds had entered the valley from Dhading brought heavy rains and thunderstorm in the valley and surrounding districts.
The division has also informed that such rainshower was normal and will recede in few hours.
The rainfall has added to the trouble faced by families displaced by the Great Quake of April 25.
Victims residing in temporary tents in areas including Tundikhel have been left in the lurch after their tents were blown by the strong wind.
