Indian forest guards open fire in Bardiya, 1 injured

Locals Ramesh Lodh, Bheri Lodh, Chopo Lodh and Buddhi Lodh had gone to harvest pulses at a farm of one Sitaram Lodh, when forest guards entered some 500 meters on the Nepali side and opened fire towards them. Ramesh Lodh received injuries to his eye after being hit by a shrapnel.
DSP Dipak Kumar Basnet said that a cartridge has been recovered from the site.
The District Administration Office has summoned an emergency security meeting following the incident.
