The irate locals demonstrated at Nepal Aadarsha Sikchhya Sadan at Khairihani Municipality-6 today.
Gaurav Basnet, a student of class 10 at the school, was found dead in the school hostel on Sunday, according to the District Police office, Chitwan. Shocked relatives of Basnet staged demonstrations demanding action against the guilty, saying he was murdered.
Police lobbed four shells of teargas to contain the situation, SP Sahakul Bahadur Thapa said.
Two persons have been arrested in connection with the incident and started the investigation, he said. Santosh Poudel and Bindu Poudel have been arrested based on complaint filed by the victim side.
Basnet was found hanged, police said.
