CJ Shah administers Oath to chairmen of TRC & CDC
Chief Justice Ramkumar Prasad Saha has administered the oaths of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Chairmen of TRC and CED.

They were sworn-in at a special ceremony organized at the Supreme Court. Mr Mallik is former chief judge at the Appellate Court while Mr Gurung is the former ambassador.
In the presence of Chief Justice Saha, Chairmen Mallik and Gurung also administered the oath of office and secrecy to the members of the respective Commissions.
A committee formed under the chairmanship of former chief justice Om Bhakta Shrestha had recommended Mr Mallik as Chairman of the Commission on Enforced Disappearance while Bijul Kumar Bishwokarma, Pro Dr Bishnu Pathak, Narakumari Gurung and Aita Bahadur Gurung as the members.
Similarly, the committee had recommended Lila Udashi, Krishna Subedi, Dr Madhavi Bhatt and Manchala Jha as the members of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
Meanwhile, Chairmen Gurung and Mallik have assumed the offices on Wednesday itself.
They assumed the offices at the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction amidst a programme.
On the occasion, Chairman of the Commission on Enforced Disappearance, Mallik said the much awaited Commission would work in an open, transparent and independent manner.
Similarly, Chairman of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Gurung, said the commission would carry out its works responsibly and effectively.
