During a programme at party office in Balkhu on Saturday, Oli revealed that agreements were made in the past to provide large sum of money to the UCPN (Maoist) to resume the obstructed parliament session.
“Legislature-Parliament was obstructed. It was resumed only after papers were signed to provide UCPN (Maoist) with Rs. 2.03 billion,” the UML chairman said. “If we agree to provide 5-10 billion rupees, the current obstruction in CA will be removed and Maoists will also stop their protest programmes,” he added.
He, however, did not clarify on how the money was provided to the UCPN (Maoist) in the past.
Oli also blamed Maoists of running a circus in the name of politics. “Its not politics, it’s a circus,” he said.
In another note, Oli said that the European Union was speaking in favor of inclusion in Nepal without understanding the core features of Nepali society.
