Mugu
Around 3,000 households are living in darkness for the past week after floods damaged Gamgad Microhydro Project in Chhayanathrara Municipality, Mugu.
According to Sajan Aidi, chief of the electricity distribution centre at Gamgadhi, the silts and muds damaged the hydel’s canal last week.
The electricity supply has been disrupted in Gamgadhi, the district headquarters of Mugu, Karkibada, Bhambada, Dhum, Shreenagar, Pina, Talcha, Balai and Rugha areas.
The local people are hugely affected due to power disruption for a long time.
