One killed, another injured in khukuri attack in Kalikot
Five suspects detained in connection with the incident.

A 17-year-old boy was killed in a khukuri (a type of traditional knife with a curved blade) attack in ward 10 of Khandachakra Municipality in Kalikot district on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred during a celebration at the home of Hasta Bahadur Malla, where a group of youths clashed, resulting in the death of Rajesh Shahi, 17, from ward 7 of Tilagufa Municipality. Another 16-year-old, Bhupendra Shahi, was injured.
According to Krishna KC, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Kalikot, those allegedly involved in the incident have been arrested.
A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Tek Bahadur Rawat reached the village, located 35 km from the district headquarters, and apprehended five suspects, all aged below 18.
The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem. DSP Rawat said further investigation is underway.
