Two dead, three missing in bridge collapse

Two people died after an under-construction Bailey bridge over the Bheri River in Nalgad Municipality Ward 12 in Jajarkot collapsed.
The bridge that connected Tallubagar of the Jajarkot district and Aathbiskot of the West Rukum district, collapsed on Thursday, killing two workers, police said.
According to the police, three other people, who were crossing the river at the time, have gone missing in the river.
Eight others have been injured in the incident, of whom three are in critical condition.
Preparations are underway to airlift the seriously injured to the capital for treatment, informed West Rukum Police head Nawaraj Bhattarai.
The injured are currently undergoing treatment at the local health post.
Search for the missing is underway.
