Nepal reports 1,332 new Covid-19 cases, 7 deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 10,991 and the number of active cases stands at 26,307.Post Report
Nepal on Wednesday reported 1,332 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 780,824.
Similarly, 428 people tested positive in a total of 4,320 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Wednesday, 4,057,383 PCR and 524,485 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 12,524 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported 7 Covid-19-related fatalities, which included the number of deaths managed by Nepal Army on different dates.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 10,991. The number of active cases stands at 26,307.
According to the ministry, 743,526 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 1,220 of them in the last 24 hours.
According to the data released by the ministry, 11 districts are home to more than 500 active cases each and 21 other districts host more than 200 active cases each.
On Wednesday, 407 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 129-39 in Province 1, 77 in Bagmati, five in Gandaki, three in Lumbini, two in Karnali and three in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Tuesday reported 1,180 new coronavirus cases and 19 deaths. Similarly, 1,149 new coronavirus cases and 16 deaths were reported on Monday and 838 new coronavirus cases and 13 deaths were recorded on Sunday.
