Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 3,040 with one more death
With 303 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 2,961, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
The overall infection tally has reached 280,028 with 2,961 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 274,027 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 141 of them in the past 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 154 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 128 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 15 in Lalitpur and 11 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 162 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 51 in Gandaki, 46 in Lumbini, 22 in Province 1, five in Province 2, four in Sudurpaschim and 13 in Karnali province.
As of Sunday, 2,312,901 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,125 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Until Sunday, 89 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Fifteen others—14 in Bagmati and one in one in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Saturday reported one Covid-19 death and 337 new infections. Silimarly, 288 new infections were recorded on Friday and 332 new infections were reported in the country on Thursday.
