Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 3,036 with four more deaths
With 266 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 1,832, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
Nepal on Monday reported four more Covid-19 related fatalities, pushing the death toll to 3,036. The country also recorded 266 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 278,210 with 1,832 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 273,342 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 102 of them in the past 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 137 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 98 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 26 in Lalitpur and 13 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 179 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 36 in Gandaki, 25 in Lumbini, nine in Province 1, eight in Province 2, seven in Sudurpaschim and two in Karnali province.
As of Monday, 2,289,824 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 4,536 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal on Sunday recorded 176 new Covid-19 infections. Similarly, one Covid-19 related fatality and 128 new cases were reported on Saturday and 179 new coronavirus infections were recorded in the country on Friday.
