Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 3,016 with one more death
With 125 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 1,001, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
Nepal on Friday reported one more Covid-19 related fatality, pushing the death toll to 3,016. The country also recorded 125 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 275,750 with 1,001 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 271,610 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 123 of them in the past 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 45 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 30 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, ten in Lalitpur and five in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 51 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 54 in Gandaki, seven in Province 1, four in Province 2, six in Lumbini, one in Karnali and two in Sudurpaschim.
As of Friday, 2,230,708 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,161 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had reported 107 Covid-19 infections on Thursday, 94 on Wednesday and 114 on Tuesday.
