National Covid-19 tally reaches 275,518 with 94 new infections

Nepal did not record any Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said Wednesday.
The country’s overall death toll due to the Covid-19 related complications stands at 3,014.
In the past 24 hours, the ministry said, the country recorded 94 new coronavirus infections, pushing the overall infection number to 275,518.
According to the ministry, 271,550 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 55 of them in the past 24 hours.
The active case count stands at 954.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 53 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 29 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 13 in Lalitpur and 11 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 62 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 11 in Gandaki, 10 in Lumbini, five in Province 1, four in Province 2 and two in Sudurpaschim.
As of Wednesday, 2,224,293 PCR tests have been carried out across the country. A total of 2,781 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had recorded 114 Covid-19 infections on Tuesday, 79 on Monday and 53 on Sunday.
