Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 3,015 with one more death
With 107 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 1,000, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
Nepal on Thursday reported one more Covid-19 related fatality, pushing the death toll to 3,015. The country also recorded 107 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 275,625 with 1,000 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 271,610 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 60 of them in the past 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 59 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 44 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, eight in Lalitpur and seven in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 66 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 18 in Gandaki, 10 in Province 1, seven in Province 2, five in Lumbini and one in Sudurpaschim.
As of Thursday, 2,227,547 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,254 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had reported 94 Covid-19 infections on Wednesday, 114 on Tuesday and 79 on Monday.
