Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 2,777 with three more deaths

Nepal on Monday reported three more Covid-19 related fatalities, pushing the death toll to 2,777. The country also recorded 73 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 274,216 with 968 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 270,471 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 64 of them in the past 24 hours.
In the past 24 hours, 45 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 16 in Gandaki Province, nine in Lumbini Province, and one each in Province 1, Province 2 and Sudurpaschim Province.
As of Monday, 2,165,985 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,049 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had reported one Covid-19 related death and 78 new infections on Sunday, two deaths and 81 new cases on Saturday, and four fatalities and 112 new infections on Friday.
