Worker dies from electrocution in Kawasoti

A 35-year-old man died from electrocution while working at a construction site in Kawasoti-3, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), on Monday.
District Superintendent of Police Madhu Nepal of the District Police Office stated that the deceased has been identified as Saroj Tharu, a resident of Thakurbaba Municipality-2 in Bardiya district.
Tharu was electrocuted while working on a convention hall currently under construction at the model district headquarters area of Kawasoti. He was immediately rushed to Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital in Danda for treatment but succumbed to his injuries during the course of care.
Police said an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
