A 65-year-old man died after he was attacked by a rhino while grazing cattle in Kawasoti of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) district.
Suk Bahadur Bote, a resident of Kawasoti Municipality-7, succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Kaligandaki Hospital, according to local police.
The attack occurred in the Krishna Saar Community Forest, where Botey had taken his cattle to graze.
The incident exposed the ongoing risks posed by wild animal attacks in the area, especially with rhinos frequently passing through community forests near human settlements.
