Gandaki government pledges Rs5 million to support flood and landslide victims

The Gandaki provincial government has pledged Rs5 million to assist victims of the recent floods and landslides that affected various parts of the country.
The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, with the amount to be contributed to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, said Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey.
The meeting also extended condolences to the victims and called for prompt rescue efforts and recovery for the injured.
“The disaster caused significant human and physical loss across the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. The provincial government has decided to offer assistance to collectively face this disaster,” said Pandey.
Previously, the provincial government contributed Rs 10million to support earthquake victims in Jajarkot and Rukum West. The Gandaki government has also pledged to coordinate with the federal government for rescue, relief, and reconstruction efforts.
