A three-year-old died after being hit by a school bus in Pokhara on Friday.

The victim had sustained serious injuries after being hit by the vehicle, belonging to the Bal Pratibha Boarding School, at around 2:45pm on Friday, police said.

He was rushed to the Metrocity Hospital in Srijana Chowk where he died in the course of treatment at 4pm.

The accident occurred after the boy, studying in nursery at the same school, was hit by the vehicle after being dropped off at his house.

Police have arrested the bus driver, and further investigation into the matter is underway.
