Bhandari signs for Israeli club Raanana

The Nepali national women’s football team forward Sabitra Bhandari has signed up for Israel’s Hapoel Raanana FC.
The club confirmed her enrollment through a Facebook post which stated that they have signed the forward with impressive abilities. Bhandari, 27, will be the first Nepali footballer to play in a European league.
Bhandari, the all-time highest scorer for Nepal with 42 goals under her belt, is considered one of the best forwards in the South Asia region. She plays for Nepal APF Club in domestic football.
Bhandari has also won India’s women’s I-League title with Sethu FC in 2018-2019 and with Gokulam Kerala in 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 seasons. She finished as the highest scorer of the last I-League season with 29 goals and is also the all-time leading scorer in India’s premier division league, having scored 59 goals in three seasons.
