The Department of Archaeology (DoA) has started restoring a 12th century temple at Kakre Bihar in Surkhet Valley.

Flood-displaced people taking refuge at temporary shelters in Surkhet and Bardiya districts have been hit hard with the onset of the winter season.

The flood victim resettlement programme in the district is moving at snail pace owing to the government’s negligence to allocate budget in time.
