Vyasa’s life to be adapted on screen
Nepali audience will now get to see the life and times of Vyasa on screen. Titled Maharsi Ved Vyas, the film will be produced by Tanahun-based Vyas Region Development Fund.
“The movie will be based on a script that balances stories written by Ved Vyasa and his presence in the Hindu mythology. It will also have stories that were put forth by Yogi Narharinath in his books, Kotihom, Darma Sabha and Des Darsan,” said Ashok Kumar Shrestha, chairperson of the fund.
As legend has it, Vyas was born near the conflation of Madi and Seti River in Damauli, Tanahun.
The movie will be directed by director Yadav Kharel.
