Humans in the 21st Century: Unconscious and Reprehensible

Despite the advancement in most sectors of our society—from commerce to science, from astronomy to anthropology—we don’t look at the declining state of the spiritual world, and the ludicrous attitude that people have towards others. The most crucial problem of today is the way how people are so impulsive, rapacious and most importantly, insolent.
There is no doubt that condescension characterises this century.
I won’t say that I am any different, but I am trying to repudiate it and I am discovering myself in the process. Think deeply and analyse yourself; are you practicing such behaviour? This is something that is prevalent everywhere and in everyone—from a child to an old man, from students to teachers, from preachers to politicians.
Hard work and effort do not count as much in this century as they did earlier. This is a biased and unfair world and it is run by power and economy. Everyone is familiar with the diction, ‘Honesty is the best policy.’ But I do not agree to it. As time changes, our definition towards the temporal and spiritual life changes too. If you have read the book—Who moved my cheese?, it will motivate you to evolve, thrive and be adaptable. The way we humans think and act, I believe, it is not the purpose of life. The book will most definitely help you get some perspective.
What do we do to make us count as humans? Are we doing the right thing at this present moment? Are we doing the best we can with the time given to us? This century has progressed in science and technology and most importantly, the
development in the materialistic world. We have never given much thought that good brings bad. This development is also the root cause of the loss of faith in humanity and self-destruction of human existence. With so much progress in arms and ammunition, with the development of nuclear weapons and bio ammunition—I don’t know where the world is headed. Increasing terrorism, coups, civil wars, and inhumane activities brings real shame to mankind. The meaning of humanity is under total threat.
There is no point in arguing that there must always be a right way to do something. We are in the middle of this incessant and non-ending argument of what is good, what is bad, what must be done, and who caused the mess. We are always playing the blame game and never finding time to find a solution.
Everyone is aware of all the things happening around; some just don’t care, some hold talks, seminars and discussions about it, some just sit back and criticise, some made plans and policies but barely implement. There is always the lack of an initiator who will actually act rather than just waste time.
