“The project has been initiated to pay homage to Meera’s wish to work toward the development of the young. She helped many poor and destitute children during her lifetime,” Hari Bansha Acharya said during the inaugural programme.
The institution will work under the management of Child Reach Nepal. The project, which will be working toward the mental and physical development of children, also aims to launch door-to-door programmes to raise awareness and provide primary health care to pregnant women in the area.
After the inauguration, a statue of Meera Acharya was erected in the premises of the institution.
