The talk primarily focused on the experiences Miss Earth Switzerland Shayade Hug had undergone while working in Kailali and Baglung districts as the ambassador of the campaign. Hug’s intention behind the visit was to raise awareness about the need for quality education and to eliminate gender-inequality from society.

“If every parent understands the importance of education for girls, it doesn’t take too long to change their lives,” Hug said during the conference. “I am here to understand the current situation of education, to help improve women’s lives and to promote quality education in remote areas of Nepal,” she added.

During her visit, she also interacted with the representatives of various organisations working for the rights of young women.

Plan, along with Hug, hope to uplift the quality of Nepali girls’ lives by encouraging education.
