The Shangri-la Literature Festival is organising the third edition of Shangri-la Sambad, centred on the craft of fiction writing. Titled ‘Writing Nepal: Crafting Fiction’, the dialogue will feature award-winning author and Professor of English Samrat Upadhyay in conversation with Prawin Adhikari, author of ‘The Vanishing Act’.

According to the festival’s director, Ken Subedi, the session will reflect on Upadhyay’s long-standing engagement with Nepali writing, including his 12-year association as collaborator, sponsor and judge of the Writing Nepal: A Short Story Contest.

A poetry recitation session will follow the dialogue in both English and Nepali. According to the organiser, poets Naba Raj Lamsal, Haris Adhikari, Bhuwan Thapaliya, Rajnimila, Rami Priya, Asmita Badi, Dev Brat, and Kripa Khanal are scheduled to recite their poems.
