Ekta Books is back with the second edition of its Valentine’s Day Bookstore Date, a week-long celebration of love, literature and togetherness in the form of a scavenger hunt. The organisers reveal they have planned an even more engaging lineup of activities for participants and customers following the success of last year’s event.

The event began on Wednesday with a meet and book signing session with writer Subin Bhattarai and will run till February 14 (except for February 10) at Ekta Books’ outlet in Thapathali, Kathmandu.

Some upcoming highlights of the Book Date include a poetry recital and open mic session on February 12 and a movie screening at Ektafe Brew Manor on February 14, among other activities for couples, friends and families alike.

In addition to these main events, participants can also partake in other activities throughout the week, including fun scavenger hunts, bookmaking, painting/drawing on mini canvases and cookie decorating.

Ekta Books emphasises that the Bookstore Date is a safe and inclusive space for all, whether attending alone or with companions.
