Hindu pilgrimage Kumbh Mela is being held at Ujjain in Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh, central India.

The festival attracts a millions of Hindu pilgrims from around the world. Pilgrims gather to bathe in sacred river during the festival.

Kumbh Mela is held once every three years in Haridwar, Allahabad, Nasik and Ujjain by rotation. Hence the Mela is celebrated at each of these four places every twelfth year.
