Conflict victims and civil society members held a sit-in at Maitighar Mandala on Sunday against an amendment bill registered at the Parliament Secretariat to amend the Enforced Disappearances Enquiry, Truth and Reconciliation Act 2014.

The protestors demand the government revise “problematic” provisions in the bill.

Several organisations of the conflict victims from the decade-long Maoist insurgency, and civil society members protested demanding an amendment to the Act in line with international practice and the 2015’s Supreme Court verdict.
